Booking & stay

How do I book a vacation rental?

Pick your dates on any home and book directly here. Availability is live, so if the calendar shows your dates they are genuinely open. You will get confirmation straight away, and Marcy is your point of contact from that moment until you check out.

What is the cancellation policy?

It varies by home. Most are a full refund up to 30 days before arrival and 50% up to 14 days; a few are 14 and 7 days. The policy that applies to your booking is shown on the property page and again before you confirm.

What time are check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is 11am at every home. Most properties use a keypad code, so there is no key handover to arrange around your drive.

Properties

Which homes are pet-friendly?

Five of the homes welcome dogs. A pet fee applies and we ask you to tell us in advance how many are coming. One property is a farmhouse on two acres that also welcomes horses. Every property page states its own pet policy.

Do any homes have beach access or pools?

Most of the homes sit in neighbourhoods with private beach access on Lake Erie, shared only by residents and their guests. One beachfront house has a private heated in-ground pool. A public sandy beach, Nickel Plate, is a short walk or drive from most of them.

Which rentals work well for larger groups?

Several sleep between nine and sixteen. The largest has seven bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms and the heated pool, and families often book two houses on the same street for reunions. Tell us the group and we will point you at the right combination.

Around Huron

How close are the rentals to Cedar Point?

Roughly twelve miles, which is about a twenty-five minute drive outside peak summer traffic. Kalahari and Great Wolf Lodge are closer still, and Sports Force Parks is about ten minutes away.

What are some nearby beaches and things to do?

Nickel Plate Beach for sand and swimming, the mile-long pier and the Huron lighthouse, and the Boat Basin with its free summer concerts. Old Woman Creek and Sheldon Marsh are both short drives for walking and birdwatching, and the Jet Express to Put-in-Bay and Kelleys Island leaves from Sandusky.
