Cedar Point from Huron, Ohio

Cedar Point is about 12 miles from Huron — roughly a twenty-minute drive. It covers 364 acres on a Lake Erie peninsula, has been running since 1870, and is the second-oldest operating amusement park in the United States.

Eighteen roller coasters, and it is the only park in the world with five of them over 200 feet. It also has a mile of its own beach, which most first-time visitors never find. Season dates and hours move every year, so plan against the park’s own calendar rather than anything you read elsewhere.
